BIRDSBORO, PA — A 32-year-old man has been charged after investigators allegedly linked gunfire that damaged a local business to recreational shooting on a nearby property.

According to the Robeson Township Police Department, officers responded on June 6 to a report that a firearm round had struck and damaged a window at a local business. No injuries were reported.

While investigating the incident, police reported that an officer heard additional rounds impacting in a nearby wooded area.

According to investigators, evidence recovered at the scene led officers to a nearby property where recreational shooting was allegedly taking place. Police said the investigation determined the shooting area did not have an adequate backstop to prevent rounds from traveling beyond the intended target area.
