WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police have charged two men in connection with an alleged burglary and subsequent prescription forgery incident involving a doctor’s office in Wilmington.
On January 9, 2025, police responded to Family Practice on Foulk Road after reports of a break-in overnight. According to investigators, a male suspect forcibly entered the office, stealing two lock boxes containing cash and prescription pads before fleeing the scene in an unidentified vehicle.
Detectives later identified 30-year-old Clayton Wilson of Wilmington as the alleged suspect. On January 13, 2025, Wilson reportedly attempted to have forged prescriptions filled at a Walgreens Pharmacy on Kirkwood Highway. Officers apprehended Wilson at the pharmacy, where he was accompanied by 30-year-old David Taylor of Newark, Delaware. A search of Taylor allegedly uncovered a forged prescription and 10 baggies containing a substance suspected to be heroin.
Wilson faces multiple charges, including burglary, theft of blank prescription pads, and forgery, earning a $23,000 unsecured bond. Taylor, meanwhile, has been charged with forgery, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance, with bond set at $4,200 unsecured.
Both men were released following their arraignment. Authorities emphasize that the allegations remain under investigation, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
