NEWARK, DE — A 28-year-old man has been charged following a shooting that left a victim critically injured, police said.
New Castle County police reported that officers responded April 20 at approximately 2:50 p.m. to Christiana Hospital for a report of a walk-in gunshot victim.
According to police, officers made contact with a 30-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body and was listed in critical condition.
Investigators said detectives determined the shooting occurred on Concord Bridge Place.
According to investigators, Quran Tabron, 28, allegedly confronted the victim and fired multiple shots, striking him in the upper body before fleeing the scene.
Police reported that Tabron was located on April 28 and taken into custody.
Tabron has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to police, he was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $1,060,000 cash bail.
