HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A contractor has been charged following an investigation into allegations that a homeowner paid for work that was never completed, police said.
According to Lower Moreland Township police, the case began on Friday, October 31, 2025, when a victim reported an issue involving a contractor hired in August 2025. Police reported the contractor allegedly provided an estimate, requested a deposit, and failed to begin the project as scheduled.
Investigators said an arrest warrant was obtained for William Green, 54, in connection with the allegations.
According to police, Green was taken into custody on April 21, 2026, and arraigned the same day.
Authorities reported Green has been charged with multiple offenses, including false statements to induce an agreement for home improvement services, conspiracy, receiving advance payment for services and failing to perform, and theft-related charges.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
