WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police are searching for a Philadelphia woman accused of using force against another person and taking the victim’s vehicle during an alleged robbery outside a Wilmington Wawa.
Troopers responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5 to the Wawa at 1702 Rocky Run Parkway for a report of a stolen vehicle, according to state police.
Investigators said the victim and Diamond Betsill of Philadelphia had arrived at the Wawa together in the victim’s vehicle.
Shortly afterward, the two became involved in a verbal dispute that turned physical, according to police. State police allege Betsill used force to overpower the victim and took the vehicle.
Police said the victim was not injured.
Troopers subsequently identified Betsill as the suspect and obtained a warrant for her arrest, according to state police. Betsill faces a felony charge of second-degree robbery upon her arrest.
