MOUNTVILLE, PAField of Screams turned adrenaline and community spirit into tangible impact this fall, raising $8,400 for the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition during its 13th annual Zombie Fun Run.

Held Saturday, Nov. 15, the event drew hundreds of participants who tackled obstacles, crawled through mud, leapt through fire, and outran volunteers dressed as zombies, all in support of breast cancer research and patient services. The fundraiser adds to a long-running partnership that has now generated more than $80,000 for the coalition.

Proceeds from the run will support breast cancer research grants, personalized patient advocacy, and programs such as the coalition’s Friends Like Me care package initiative, which provides free support kits to newly diagnosed patients and individuals living with stage IV metastatic breast cancer.

Pat Halpin-Murphy, president of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, said grassroots partners like Field of Screams play a critical role in advancing the organization’s work statewide. She credited volunteers, runners, and supporters for helping turn participation into progress toward better outcomes for patients and families.
