Drivers should expect backups and slower overnight travel through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to plan extra time and seek alternate routes where possible during active construction periods.

The work is part of a $56.1 million federally funded infrastructure project focused on repairing deteriorating interstate bridges and improving roadway safety along critical travel corridors.

Project crews will repair bridge decks, structural steel, concrete components, guiderail systems, sign supports, and expansion joints. Additional work includes repainting overhead sign structures and upgrading roadway lighting to LED fixtures.
