PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of resurfacing operations scheduled next week on roadways in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties. These efforts are part of ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing travel safety and efficiency.
From Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, construction activity will involve lane closures on the following roads:
- Arch Street, from Front Street to 15th Street in Center City Philadelphia: Paving and related work will take place daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning.
- Cross Road, between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) in Skippack and Upper Salford townships, Montgomery County: Paving crews will operate Monday, June 23, through Wednesday, June 25, during the same timeframes of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning.
- Linfield Trappe Road, between Township Line Road and Main Street in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County: Milling, paving, and utility work is set for Tuesday, June 24, through Friday, June 27, with closures also running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM overnight.
Motorists should plan for potential backups and delays when traveling through these areas and are advised to allow extra time for their commutes. PennDOT has emphasized that all scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted accordingly.
