Pothole Repairs Could Slow Travel Across Chester County

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers should expect daytime lane closures and slow-moving traffic next week as PennDOT crews repair deteriorated pavement on multiple state highways across the county.

PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct repairs on several major and secondary roads, including U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass), Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike), and U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike).

Additional work will take place on Route 100 Spur, Route 272 (Christine Road), Route 472 (Lancaster Pike), and a number of local routes, including Art School Road, Birchrun Road, Hollow Road, and Pikeland Road/Clover Mill Road.

Drivers should plan extra time, expect delays, and consider alternate routes when traveling through affected areas, particularly during daytime hours when crews are actively working.

PennDOT also urged motorists to slow down in work zones and avoid distracted driving to protect roadway workers.
