Driver Accused of Fleeing Crash That Struck Juvenile Bicyclist

HATBORO, PA — A 52-year-old woman is accused of leaving the scene after a crash involving a juvenile bicyclist last month, according to Hatboro Police.

Police reported that on March 30, 2026, officers were dispatched to the intersection of South York Road and School Road for a crash involving a pedestrian.

According to investigators, officers learned the striking vehicle had left the scene. Police said the vehicle was initially described as a black SUV with a partial registration of “MTX,” operated by a white female.

Authorities reported that video evidence later reviewed by investigators allegedly showed a black Toyota SUV, possibly a Highlander, striking a juvenile bicyclist in the intersection. According to police, the vehicle briefly pulled over before continuing northbound on South York Road.

Through the investigation, police identified 52-year-old Orsolya Bereznai as the alleged driver of the vehicle.

Police stated Bereznai surrendered on an outstanding warrant on April 10, 2026, and is awaiting arraignment.

According to authorities, she has been charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property, and failure to stop and give information or render aid.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
