BRYN MAWR, PA — Visiting Angels promoted longtime executive Scott Parrish to president as the home-care franchisor enters the second half of 2026 with more than 600 locations and plans to continue expanding its national network amid rising demand for in-home senior care.
Parrish, who joined Visiting Angels in 2008, previously served as executive vice president. The June leadership change puts a veteran of the organization into the president’s role while founder Larry Meigs remains chief executive officer.
“When I think about the next chapter for Visiting Angels, I think about the kind of leadership that earns trust from every direction,” Meigs said. “From our franchise owners, our caregivers, and the families we serve. Scott embodies that.”
The Bryn Mawr-based company is also targeting additional franchise growth as demand for services that allow seniors to remain in their homes increases. Visiting Angels currently operates a network of more than 600 locations across the U.S.
Parrish’s promotion came during a first half that also brought several industry recognitions for the company and its franchisees.
Visiting Angels received Employer of Choice, Leader in Experience and Leader in Training awards from Activated Insights’ Best of Home Care program. Franchise Business Review also included the company on six 2026 lists covering overall franchise satisfaction, culture, opportunities for women, recession resistance, innovation and profitability.
At Visiting Angels’ annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, in June, the company selected West Virginia caregiver Tiffany Moon as its 2026 Caregiver of the Year. Moon received a $10,000 award.
Robert and Marilyn Oswald, owners of the Visiting Angels franchise in Kitsap County, Washington, received the company’s Founders Award, its highest recognition for contributions to private-duty home care and representation of the organization and industry.
Visiting Angels is also preparing for its annual participation in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s this fall. The company has supported the initiative for 16 years and reported raising more than $5.3 million to date.
