PHILADELPHIA, PA — UBS Wealth Management has recruited veteran advisor Adam Conish, who oversees approximately $1.2 billion in client assets, strengthening the firm’s presence in the Philadelphia market as competition for experienced wealth managers and their client relationships remains intense across the industry.
Conish joins UBS’s Mid-Atlantic Market and will report to Patricia Cashin, senior market director for the Greater Philadelphia area, the firm disclosed.
The hire brings an advisor with deep experience serving foundations, endowments and nonprofit organizations, a segment that has become increasingly important to wealth managers seeking stable institutional assets and advisory revenue.
Conish spent the past two decades at Glenmede, where he served in multiple leadership roles, including director of endowment and foundation management. He also helped establish the firm’s outsourced chief investment officer, or OCIO, platform and was a member of senior leadership.
Prior to Glenmede, Conish worked at Schlarbaum Capital Management and Van der Moolen Options.
The move reflects continued competition among large wealth management firms to recruit advisors with established client books and specialized expertise.
Patricia Cashin, UBS senior market director for Greater Philadelphia, pointed to Conish’s institutional experience, describing him as “a unique focus on advising foundations, endowments and non-profit organizations.”
Cashin added that UBS is continuing “to invest in our talent, and grow our capabilities, to provide even more services and offerings to meet the complex financial needs of our clients.”
Conish holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the The Wharton School and is a Chartered Financial Analyst, or CFA.
The advisor joins UBS’s Mid-Atlantic Market, led by Brendan Graham, which operates within the firm’s Southeast Region under Regional Director Julie Fox.
