LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — Drivers should prepare for rolling and overnight lane closures on U.S. 422 next week as PennDOT conducts line striping and road reconstruction in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry townships. Expect backups and plan extra time through the affected sections of the expressway.

Rolling lane closures will affect both directions of U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Stowe interchanges on Monday, July 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for line striping.
A right-lane closure will then be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Limerick/Linfield and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges on Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30. The overnight restrictions will run from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning for road reconstruction.
No detour has been announced. The expressway will remain open, but drivers should expect backups, reduce speed and watch for shifting work zones. Seek alternate routes when practical.
The resurfacing work between the Route 100 and Stowe interchanges was added to PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of U.S. 422 and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be postponed or rescheduled.
