MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Drivers on U.S. 422 should plan extra time next week as overnight resurfacing brings lane closures in both directions through Limerick and Upper Providence townships, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Eastbound U.S. 422 will be reduced by one lane between Royersford Road and Troutman Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning each night during the work period.
Westbound U.S. 422 will have a lane closure between Troutman Road and Royersford Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
PennDOT expects backups and delays through the work zones. Motorists should plan extra time or seek alternate routes when possible. The schedule is weather dependent.
The restrictions are part of a $6.2 million project to resurface and repair 4.4 miles of U.S. 422 in Limerick and Upper Providence townships.
Crews will mill the existing pavement, install a bituminous overlay, reapply pavement markings and reinstall edge-line rumble strips. Base repairs will also be completed where needed.
Allan Myers Inc. of Worcester is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with state funds.
