True Expands Banking Push With New Executive Search Practice

True

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Executive search and talent platform True has launched a dedicated Consumer and Commercial Banking Practice and hired industry veteran Jeremy Zeman to lead the business, deepening its push into a banking sector grappling with technological disruption and rising regulatory complexity.

The new practice expands True’s financial services capabilities and is aimed at serving a broad range of clients, including large national banks, regional lenders and consumer finance companies, the firm said.

Zeman joins the company as managing director and head of the practice, bringing more than 25 years of experience placing senior executives across banking and financial services. His work has included recruiting board members, chief executives and leaders in risk, finance, digital transformation, data analytics and operations.

“The banking sector is one of the most consequential markets we serve, and launching a dedicated Consumer & Commercial Banking Practice reflects both the demand we’re seeing from clients and our long-term investment in this space,” Chief Executive Brad Stadler said in a statement.

The expansion comes as banks face mounting pressure to adapt to digital competition, changing customer expectations and a growing convergence between traditional financial institutions and fintech companies.

“Banking is at an inflection point, and the talent decisions institutions make right now will define and impact the next decade,” Zeman said in a statement.

The company said the new practice formalizes work it has already been doing within financial services and reflects increasing demand for executives who can navigate both traditional banking operations and emerging technology-driven business models.

Jonathan Pomeranz, managing director and head of True’s CEO, Board and Financial Services Practices, said the firm’s clients are seeking leaders capable of guiding institutions through changes in banking, payments and consumer finance.

The launch underscores growing competition among executive search firms to capture demand for specialized leadership recruitment as banks and financial services companies reshape their operations in response to technological and regulatory change.
