LANCASTER, PA — Trevor Bauer is scheduled to make his second Atlantic League start for the Long Island Ducks on Sunday at Penn Medicine Park, with first pitch set for 1:30 p.m., the team announced.

Bauer, the 2020 National League Cy Young Award winner, is pitching in the Atlantic League as part of an effort to return to Major League Baseball after last appearing in an MLB game on June 28, 2021.

The right-hander compiled 83 wins over a 10-year major league career with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

He has spent the past three years pitching internationally, including stints with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in Japan and the Diablos Rojos del México in the Mexican League.
