PHILADELPHIA, PA — Popular Philadelphia café The Ground is expanding its footprint with a limited-time summer pop-up in Midtown Village, in partnership with local craft spirits retailer BOTLD. The new café experience, located at 117 South 13th Street, runs daily through Labor Day from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering an eclectic menu of iced beverages, French pastries, and collaborative cocktails.
Known for its lush, plant-filled atmospheres in Rittenhouse Square and Norris Square, The Ground brings its signature blend of Parisian charm and botanical flair to BOTLD Midtown’s sleek retail space. The result is a daytime transformation of the bar into a café oasis featuring floral syrups, whimsical cold foam toppings, and potted greenery for sale.
“Our pop-up with BOTLD is about more than coffee,” said co-founder Michelle Miller. “It’s a celebration of collaboration, community, and the joy of slowing down with something beautiful in hand.”
The seasonal menu showcases iced lattes, cold brews, matcha, and The Ground’s playful twists on classics, such as the Rose Pistachio and Cinnamon Toast Crunch lattes. Add-ons include orange creamsicle, strawberry, and chocolate cold foams, plus a range of plant-based milk options.
The pastry case features a curated selection of French staples including croissants, beignets, cinnamon rolls, and savory options like leek and parmesan or spinach feta.
In a nod to BOTLD’s expertise in craft spirits, the two brands also unveiled a trio of collaborative cocktails:
- Rose-Hey: Pa’lante Botanical Rum, pistachio and rose syrups, lemon, and orange bitters
- Yuz Too Matcha: St. George Gin, matcha, yuzu, and Americano Bianca
- Caffeine Rush (on tap): J. Rieger Vodka, Caffe Amaro, cold brew, and optional creamsicle cold foam
“Great spirits and great coffee both reflect a love of craft,” said BOTLD founder Andrew Auwerda. “This partnership energizes our mornings and offers something new for Midtown Village.”
Both The Ground and BOTLD continue to operate their regular locations and hours while hosting the pop-up. Guests can enjoy their drinks at the bar, café tables, or in BOTLD’s cozy booths while browsing an inventory of nearly 100 global craft spirits.
With a creative mix of coffee, cocktails, and community-driven design, The Ground at BOTLD Midtown aims to bring fresh energy to the neighborhood—and possibly hint at future collaborations ahead of the fall season.
