PHILADELPHIA, PA — ARC, a division of ChargeItSpot, said ShipBob is deploying its smart locker system across all fulfillment centers following a pilot program that improved warehouse productivity.
The rollout follows a test at ShipBob’s facility in North Aurora, Illinois, where the system was used to manage handheld devices used by warehouse associates.
ARC said the pilot resulted in a 40% increase in overall productivity, along with reductions in device loss, retrieval times, and managerial oversight.
Device shrink decreased by 63% within the first month, while pick-up and return times dropped by 84%, according to the company. Time spent by managers tracking devices was reduced by 97%.
The smart locker system is designed to keep devices charged, secure, and accessible, addressing operational issues related to misplaced or uncharged equipment in high-volume fulfillment environments.
“Implementing ARC’s smart locker system has made a material difference for our business,” said Divey Gulati, co-founder and president of ShipBob, citing reduced time spent managing devices and improved access for workers.
ARC said it is rolling out the system across ShipBob’s network, with full deployment expected by July 2026.
ShipBob operates a global fulfillment platform supporting e-commerce logistics and supply chain operations.
