Route 113 Closure Could Test Bucks County Drivers for Weeks

SILVERDALE BORO, PA — A section of Route 113 (Souderton Road/Main Street) will close for daytime base repairs beginning Monday, Aug. 3, forcing drivers onto a lengthy detour through Silverdale Borough and Hilltown Township, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Route 113 will be closed between Bethlehem Pike and Callowhill Road during the scheduled work hours.

Drivers will be directed to use Bethlehem Pike, Route 152 — known along the detour as Main Street, Park Avenue, Constitution Avenue and Walnut Street — Main Street/Branch Road and Callowhill Road.

Local access will remain available throughout the project. Plan extra time near the work zone and along the detour because backups and delays may occur.
