PHILADELPHIA, PA — Robertson’s Flowers & Events will open its first Center City storefront Aug. 20 at the Comcast Center Campus, expanding the family-owned floral business into downtown Philadelphia as it approaches its 100th anniversary.
The location will operate as a full-service flower and plant shop within The Concourse at Comcast Center, 1701 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Robertson’s will sell grab-and-go bouquets, custom floral arrangements, indoor plants and giftware. Customers will also be able to order larger designs for pickup or arrange local delivery throughout the region.
The new shop gives Robertson’s a third retail location, joining stores in Chestnut Hill and Bryn Mawr. The company also operates a design studio and warehouse in Wyndmoor.
“As we approach Robertson’s 100th anniversary in 2027, we saw an opportunity to honor our history by investing in our future,” President Taylor Ferry stated. “Opening our first Center City location is a milestone we’ve envisioned for years.”
The storefront will also connect customers with Robertson’s wedding, corporate and special-event design services, extending the company’s event business into a location serving office workers, residents and visitors in Center City.
Comcast Senior Vice President of Administration Deborah Buhles described Robertson’s as an addition to the campus’s mix of local retailers and dining businesses.
“Robertson’s legacy, commitment to quality and deep Philadelphia roots make it a perfect addition to our growing community of retailers and dining destinations,” Buhles stated.
Robertson’s was founded in 1927 and will mark its centennial next year.
