KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Premier Orthopaedics and Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center have adopted a new physician leadership structure, appointing Dr. David C. Raab and Dr. Sidney M. Jacoby as co-presidents and board leaders as the organizations seek to manage growth and expand operational oversight across their regional practices.
The appointments took effect July 1. Under the new structure, Raab will serve as chairman of the board and co-president, while Jacoby will assume the roles of vice chairman of the board and co-president for both organizations.
The physician-led governance change comes as Premier Orthopaedics and Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center continue to expand their footprint in the Delaware Valley and navigate increasing operational complexity in outpatient musculoskeletal care. The organizations said the model is intended to strengthen physician engagement and support future growth while maintaining a unified strategic direction.
“This new leadership model reflects the immense strength and depth of our physician leadership team,” Chief Executive Officer Christina Vannello stated, adding that the organizations expect the shared leadership structure to improve alignment across the practices and support innovation.
The transition also marks the departure of longtime physician leader Dr. Patrick Kane, whom the organizations credited for years of service. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the leadership change were not disclosed.
Premier Orthopaedics and Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center operate more than 40 locations across the Greater Philadelphia region, providing surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care, physical therapy, hand therapy, MRI services and orthopedic urgent care.
