PHILADELPHIA, PA — Piano will focus its fifth annual Piano Academy on how artificial intelligence is reshaping digital monetization, pricing, data privacy, and content protection when the Philadelphia-based technology company convenes customers and industry executives Oct. 6-7 in Amsterdam.
The two-day conference at Beurs van Berlage will examine how businesses are adapting subscription strategies, analytics and other revenue models as AI changes digital commerce and the economics of online content.
Scott Woody, founder and CEO of Metronome, will deliver a keynote on the shift from subscriptions toward agentic commerce. Stripe acquired the usage-based billing platform earlier this year.
Woody’s presentation will examine pricing, subscriptions, payments, and emerging monetization models, including how AI could accelerate changes in the way companies charge for digital products and services.
Data regulation will provide the second major focus. Max Schrems, chairman of privacy organization NOYB.eu, will address AI governance, regulatory enforcement and his efforts to block EU-U.S. data transfers.
Schrems will also discuss how advances in AI are affecting privacy and consumer expectations nearly a decade after the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation reshaped requirements for businesses handling personal data.
The broader agenda will cover new revenue models, advanced analytics, data-driven subscription management and methods for protecting digital content against AI. Piano customers, partners and executives are scheduled to participate alongside publishing, analytics and AI industry speakers.
Piano Chief Executive Officer Nick Worth identified the commercial disruption from AI as the central issue for this year’s conference, with companies facing pressure to determine how analytics, data and new revenue models fit into their growth strategies.
“The rise of AI makes this year’s Piano Academy more relevant than ever,” Worth stated. “Digital leaders will see how they can apply analytics, protect content, leverage data and AI, and expand their revenue models to grow in the face of major industry change.”
Piano will also use the conference to discuss the direction of its technology platform and its approach to helping digital businesses manage subscriptions, analytics and monetization.
