Piano Names Nick Worth CEO After Interim Leadership Role

Business News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Piano, a digital analytics and subscription management platform, recently appointed Chief Operating Officer Nick Worth as chief executive officer following a leadership search, the company announced.

Worth, who had been serving as interim CEO for several months, will take on the role permanently as the company focuses on global growth and development of AI-driven products.

He joined Piano three years ago as COO after previously serving as chief client officer, where the company said he played a key role in improving customer retention and operational performance.

During his tenure, Worth led efforts that contributed to the company achieving positive EBITDA, including changes to client success programs and internal processes, according to the announcement.

Jon Seeber, a general partner at Updata Partners and a member of Piano’s board, said Worth had demonstrated leadership capability during his time with the company.

“Nick has proven his ability to lead Piano’s global team and has strong strategic vision for the company’s long-term success,” Seeber said.

Worth said the company plans to continue expanding its product offerings and partnerships.

“We have a comprehensive product, and a strong vision for the future,” Worth said. “The company is committed to our strategy and to serving the needs of our clients.”

The company said Worth intends to build on a recently announced global partnership with Stripe to expand enterprise relationships and enter additional subscription markets.

Sloan Gaon, Piano’s executive chairman, said Worth’s experience within the organization and understanding of its operations positioned him to lead its next phase.

“Nick is a successful operator and leader … and is absolutely the right leader for Piano now,” Gaon said.

Before joining Piano, Worth held leadership roles at several marketing and consulting firms, including Selligent Marketing Cloud, Possible and Schematic.

Piano provides analytics and subscription tools to media and enterprise clients, including the BBC, Deutsche Telekom, Crédit Agricole, Nikkei, The Telegraph and The Wall Street Journal.
