Philadelphia Police: Serial Cigarette Thief Strikes 7-Eleven Twice in 24 Hours

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is actively seeking to identify a suspect involved in multiple burglaries targeting a 7-Eleven convenience store.

Investigators with the East Detective Division say that on August 13, 2023, at 2:05 am an unknown black male broke the front window of the 7-Eleven located at 1190 E Luzerne St, reached in and took 30 packs of cigarettes. The same suspect returned to the location on August 14, 2023, at 1:45 AM, removed the plywood covering the broken window from the previous burglary, and again reached in and took merchandise.
