BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will begin pavement repair and resurfacing on Route 32 (River Road) in New Hope Borough, as well as Solebury and Upper Makefield townships, starting Monday, July 14.

Work is scheduled to run through Friday, July 25, with lane closures in place weekdays from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The affected stretch extends between Route 232 (Windy Bush Road) and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road).

Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time, as backups are likely. All work is weather dependent.

This effort is part of PennDOT’s broader $5 million project targeting sections of Route 32, U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike), and Knights Road in Bucks County. The improvements include selective base repairs, micro-surfacing overlays, and updated line painting to enhance safety and extend roadway life.
