BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced overnight lane closures next week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships as part of a $116 million reconstruction and widening project.
From Sunday, October 5, through Friday, October 10, lane closures will be in place nightly from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM between Fairhill Avenue and the Route 132 (Street Road) Interchange. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area. All activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract, which will rebuild and expand a three-mile section of U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
