PHILADELPHIA, PA — NRG Energy Inc. and its subsidiary Vivint are investing $500,000 to support the redevelopment of Cobbs Creek Golf Course and expand youth education programs in West Philadelphia, the organizations announced.

The funding will support restoration efforts at the historic golf course and expand programming at the Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab, part of the Cobbs Creek Golf & Education Campus.

A central space inside the learning lab will be designated the “Vivint + NRG Hub,” intended for student programming and community use.
