National Philanthropic Trust Issues One Millionth Grant

JENKINTOWN, PA — National Philanthropic Trust recently issued its one millionth grant, marking a milestone for the donor-advised fund manager as it surpasses $44 billion in distributions to nonprofit organizations since its founding in 1996.

The milestone grant was awarded to All Our Kin, a nonprofit that supports family child care educators through training, business development and technical assistance programs.

All Our Kin serves approximately 1,100 educators in New York and Connecticut, reaching more than 6,000 children, and has provided support to 300 organizations in 34 states and Washington, D.C., benefiting more than 100,000 children.

The grant highlights the role of donor-advised funds in directing charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations addressing issues such as education, economic opportunity and community services.

“The opportunity to make our one-millionth grant is a powerful moment to recognize both the extraordinary generosity of our donors and the essential work of nonprofit organizations like All Our Kin,” said Holly Welch Stubbing, president and chief executive officer of National Philanthropic Trust.

Since its founding, the organization has raised more than $80.2 billion in charitable contributions from individuals, families and corporations.

Grants recommended by donors range from $1,000 to multi-million-dollar contributions and support a range of sectors, including education, health care, human services, environmental programs and international aid.
