Month-Long Lane Closure on Ellis Road Expected to Slow Traffic in Bucks County

Travel Restrictions

MIDDLETOWN TWP, PA — Trail construction will continue through December on Ellis Road as PennDOT advances a local safety improvement project in Bucks County, bringing recurring daytime delays to the area.

Beginning Monday, December 1, and continuing through Wednesday, December 31, a weekday lane closure with flagging will be in place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Fulling Mill Road and Woodbourne Road. The restriction will allow crews to install decking for the new trail segment. All work is weather dependent.

PennDOT is urging motorists to allow additional time when traveling through the corridor, noting that backups and slowdowns are likely throughout the month.
