NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Martin & Company has rebranded as Martin as the Pennsylvania insurance-services firm prepares to expand its technology offerings amid pressure on carriers and managing general agents to bring insurance products to market faster.
The company, founded in 1993, provides insurance product development and regulatory services to carriers, managing general agents and program administrators. Its work includes rate development, state regulatory filings and product design.
The name change is the first of several strategic updates Martin plans for 2026, according to the company. It expects to provide additional information about expanded technology offerings later this year.
Chief Executive Officer Lani Cathey tied the shift to changes in the insurance market that have increased pressure on carriers and MGAs to shorten product-development timelines.
“The insurance market has drastically changed over the last thirty years which has placed more pressure on carriers and MGAs to launch products quickly,” Cathey said.
Martin is positioning the planned technology expansion alongside its existing regulatory and product-development services, with the rebrand consolidating the business under the shortened name.
The company has worked with insurance carriers, MGAs and program administrators for more than three decades.
