PHILADELPHIA, PA — Main Street Manayunk will host four Thursday night events in July, adding live music, outdoor movies, food trucks and family activities as the district looks to draw residents and visitors to its commercial corridor after regular business hours.
Stroll After Hours is scheduled for July 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6 to 10 p.m., with programming spread across Main Street and participating businesses extending hours and offering promotions.
The series will feature live concerts, local artists and makers, rotating food trucks, outdoor movies at dusk and activities including face painting, caricatures, interactive art, soccer activations, axe throwing and children’s programming.
The July 9 event includes live music from Ridge Runners on Grape Street and a screening of Kicking and Screaming at dusk on Cotton Street.
On July 16, Andorra will perform on Cotton Street, with Twilight shown at dusk on Grape Street.
The July 23 lineup includes Chris Rafter on Cotton Street and a screening of School of Rock on Grape Street.
The series concludes July 30 with Nervous Nikki and the Chill Pills performing on Grape Street and Toy Story shown at dusk on Cotton Street.
Food truck lineups vary by date and include vendors such as A Taste of Philly, Beck’s Cajun Cruiser, Humpty’s Dumplings, Kanto Filipino BBQ, Los Gallos Restaurant, MOZZAREPAS, Pink’s Cold Treats and others.
The event will be canceled if weather conditions warrant. A rain date is scheduled for Aug. 6.
