RADNOR, PA — Lincoln Financial (NYSE: LNC) scheduled its 2026 annual shareholder meeting for Thursday, May 28, in a virtual-only format, continuing a broader corporate governance trend toward online investor meetings as public companies seek lower administrative costs and wider shareholder access.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time through a live audio webcast accessible through Lincoln Financial’s shareholder meeting portal, according to company materials released Tuesday.
Only shareholders of record as of March 23 are eligible to attend and participate in the meeting.
Lincoln Financial instructed shareholders to access the meeting using a 16-digit control number included in proxy and voting materials distributed to investors.
The company also said shareholders may submit questions in advance through May 27 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time using Lincoln Financial’s proxy voting platform.
Virtual shareholder meetings expanded significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic and have remained common among large public companies, despite ongoing debate among investor advocates and governance groups over transparency, shareholder engagement, and management accountability in fully online formats.
Lincoln Financial indicated a replay of the meeting will remain publicly available online until the company’s 2027 annual meeting.
