MORGANTOWN, PA — Joie has launched a $299.99 compact stroller designed to fit in most airplane overhead compartments, positioning the new model for family travel ahead of the holiday season while retaining features typically associated with full-size strollers.
The dashi go is available now in Shale, Forest and Mocha through Joie’s website, Target and Babylist. The company is also selling it as part of travel systems with Joie infant car seats.
The stroller is IATA-compliant and uses Joie’s one-hand FlashFold mechanism, which automatically collapses the stroller into a compact, freestanding configuration for carrying and storage.
Joie is positioning the product between conventional travel strollers and larger everyday models, seeking to reduce the tradeoffs families make between portability and functionality.
“Parents have often had to choose between gear designed for travel and gear that provides the functionality needed for everyday life,” said Jerry Ingraham, Joie’s chief marketing and strategy officer.
The stroller is compatible with Joie infant car seats from birth without adapters. The car seats are sold separately or as part of a travel system.
Other features include a hidden pocket for a tracking tag, a storage basket accessible from the front and rear, multi-position reclining, padded fabrics and an extendable UPF 50+ water-repellent canopy with ventilation panels and a mesh window.
The dashi go has been certified by the Baby Safety Alliance, according to the company.
Joie is separately selling a $59.99 dashi go Deluxe Travel Backpack designed to carry the folded stroller. The bag includes padded straps, a wide opening, cushioned construction and a name-card holder.
The stroller’s launch expands Joie’s travel-oriented product lineup as the baby-gear company targets parents seeking a single stroller for both routine use and air travel.
