Insomnia Cookies Ties Product Launch to Supergirl Film Debut

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Insomnia Cookies is introducing two limited-edition products tied to the upcoming release of Supergirl, extending a growing trend of entertainment-driven food promotions designed to capitalize on major film launches.

The Philadelphia-based cookie chain partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery consumer products division to launch two themed cookies ahead of the movie’s theatrical debut on June 26.

The products, called Red Velvet Revenge and Lemon Solar Punch, will be available beginning June 16 at participating locations across the United States and Canada while supplies last.

The launch is timed to coincide with marketing efforts surrounding the film, which is being released by Warner Bros. Pictures.

In addition to the limited-time cookies, Insomnia Cookies will offer Supergirl-themed sleeves for six-inch and 10-inch cookie boxes beginning June 26. The packaging will feature artwork inspired by the film and will be available at participating bakeries.

“A movie night with friends” is one of the occasions the company is targeting through the limited-time promotion, according to CEO Seth Berkowitz.

The company said customers will be able to purchase the products in stores, through pickup and local delivery services, and through the Insomnia Cookies mobile application.

Supergirl is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on June 26.
