PHILADELPHIA, PA — Insomnia Cookies is offering free six-packs to as many as 30,000 incoming U.S. college freshmen through Sept. 14, using its rewards program to target the Class of 2030 as students arrive on campuses for the fall semester.

The Philadelphia-based bakery chain is offering the promotion through a campaign called “Insomnia University,” which allows eligible students to claim a Freshman 6-Pack through Insomnia Rewards while supplies last.

Students must join the company’s rewards program or update an existing profile with their university and an expected graduation year of 2030. The first 30,000 eligible participants will automatically receive the free-cookie reward in their accounts, according to the company.

Recipients must present a valid student ID and redeem the offer in person at a participating U.S. Insomnia Cookies bakery. The promotion is not available for pickup or delivery orders.

Redemptions are available through Sept. 14, with the reward expiring at 3 a.m. PST Sept. 15.

The promotion extends Insomnia Cookies’ longstanding focus on college markets. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Seth Berkowitz started the company while attending college, initially positioning the business around late-night food delivery.

“I started Insomnia as a college student looking for a better late-night option, and college has been core to our brand ever since,” Berkowitz stated.

The giveaway also provides Insomnia Cookies with an opportunity to add incoming students to its customer-loyalty program at the beginning of their college years, requiring participants to establish or update rewards profiles before receiving the offer.
