PHILADELPHIA, PA — Drivers on Interstate 95 should prepare for overnight lane closures beginning Monday, September 14, as lighting repairs and bridge construction affect sections of the highway in Northeast and Southwest Philadelphia.

A lane will close nightly on southbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Allegheny Avenue interchanges from Monday through Friday. Each restriction will begin at 9:00 PM and end at 5:00 AM the following morning.
On Thursday night, a northbound lane on the I-95 Girard Point Bridge will close between Enterprise Avenue and Route 611 (Broad Street) for bridge construction. That restriction will remain in place until 5:00 AM Friday.
No detours are planned, but backups and delays are expected in both work zones. Drivers should plan extra time and consider alternate routes when possible.
