BENSALEM TWP, PA — Motorists traveling southbound on Interstate 95 in Bucks County should prepare for overnight delays as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) schedules a left lane closure for digital message board installation in Bensalem Township.
At a Glance
- Roads Affected: I-95 Southbound, between Bristol Pike/Street Road (Exit 37) and Woodhaven Road (Exit 35).
- Dates: Wednesday, October 28, through Friday, October 30, 2026.
- Times: 9:00 PM–5:00 AM the following morning.
- Reason: Digital message board installation.
The overnight restrictions will reduce southbound I-95 to fewer travel lanes between the two interchanges. PennDOT warns that backups and delays will occur, and drivers should allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes.
The work is part of PennDOT’s I-95 Section GR8 project to install and upgrade Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment across regional highways. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
