GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA — Gwynedd Mercy University said its Mercy in Motion campaign raised more than $35.3 million, exceeding its $25 million goal with contributions from nearly 2,200 donors.

The campaign, launched in January 2022, aimed to expand access to education and support growth in healthcare and professional programs, the university said.

Funds from the campaign increased scholarship support by 68% and helped finance the Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center, a facility focused on healthcare and interprofessional education.

“The Mercy in Motion Campaign has transformed what is possible for our students,” said President Deanne H. D’Emilio.

Campaign proceeds also supported renovations to campus facilities, including residential housing and the gymnasium, as well as the addition of new student gathering spaces.

The university said planned giving contributions included its largest such gift to date, helping establish long-term financial support.

“This campaign was made possible by people who believe in our Mercy mission and in the promise of our students,” said Christina Riso, vice president for university advancement.
