GLEN MILLS, PA — Golden Waffles received a second consecutive Great Place To Work certification after 83% of surveyed employees rated the Glen Mills-based company a great place to work, a one-percentage-point increase from last year and well above the benchmark cited for U.S. employers.
The employee approval measure rose from 82% a year earlier, according to Golden Waffles. The company said the comparable figure for a typical U.S.-based workplace is 57%.
Great Place To Work bases its certification on employee feedback about workplace culture. Golden Waffles said it is using results from this year’s survey to identify areas for improvement across its operations.
“Our associates are the ones running routes, working in our warehouses and manufacturing operations and serving our customers every day,” Chief Executive Officer Mike DiBeneditto said. “We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, and we’re listening closely to where our people say we can improve.”
Great Place To Work separately reports that employees at certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work than workers at typical workplaces. It also says employees at certified companies are twice as likely to believe they are paid fairly and have a fair opportunity for promotion.
Those figures reflect Great Place To Work’s broader research on certified employers rather than findings specific to Golden Waffles.
The certification marks the second straight year Golden Waffles has qualified under the organization’s employee-feedback process.
