Golden Waffles Adds Protein, Fiber Options to Foodservice Line

Golden Waffles

GLEN MILLS, PA — Golden Waffles has introduced protein and fiber add-ins for its foodservice waffle program as restaurant and hospitality operators respond to growing consumer demand for higher-protein and digestive-health-focused menu options.

The company’s new Nutritional Boost Packs are designed to integrate into Golden Waffles’ existing fresh-baked waffle system without requiring additional equipment or separate batter mixes.

The launch comes as food manufacturers and restaurant operators increasingly market products around protein intake, fiber consumption, and gut health trends.

According to data cited by the company from the International Food Information Council, 70% of consumers are trying to increase protein intake, while 64% are seeking more dietary fiber.

The protein add-in delivers five grams of protein per serving when used with the company’s Complete Mix and six grams with its Original Mix, based on half of a standard seven-inch waffle.

The fiber formulation adds approximately three grams of fiber per serving depending on the waffle mix used, according to the company.

Michael DiBeneditto indicated the product rollout is intended to help operators respond to nutrition-focused consumer preferences without adding operational complexity.

“We wanted to make it easy to add protein or fiber to the fresh-baked waffles guests already love, with zero friction for operators,” DiBeneditto said in a statement.

Golden Waffles stated the add-ins were developed specifically for its existing waffle mixes to preserve the texture and flavor profile of the company’s fresh-baked products while allowing operators to market nutritional enhancements.

The company did not disclose pricing or rollout timelines for the new products.
