PHILADELPHIA, PA — Glenmede Trust Company added five senior wealth-management professionals across New York, Northern New Jersey, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, expanding its advisory capacity as the privately held firm invests in regional coverage for wealthy families, institutions and business owners.
The Philadelphia-based wealth and investment manager hired Louis Porta as an investment advisor and managing director in New York and Christina G. Duffy as a fiduciary advisor and managing director in Northern New Jersey. Both report to New York Regional Director Gregory Khost.
Porta brings 25 years of experience constructing portfolios and implementing wealth-planning strategies for families and institutions. He will advise clients on investments, asset allocation and portfolio management.
Duffy also has 25 years of experience, with a background spanning relationship management, fiduciary administration and investment management. Her responsibilities include trust and account administration and advice involving charitable, financial and wealth-transfer planning.
Glenmede added two professionals in Cleveland, both reporting to Ohio Regional Director Bethany Bryant.
Michael Novak joined as a fiduciary advisor and managing director after more than 30 years working in wealth management and estate planning. He will provide fiduciary, advisory and wealth-planning guidance.
Jack Glending joined the Cleveland operation as an investment advisor and vice president. He has nearly a decade of experience constructing and managing portfolios for clients with significant wealth and will focus on investment, asset-allocation and portfolio-management advice.
In Pittsburgh, Steven J. Kaczynski Jr. joined as an investment advisor and managing director, reporting to Regional Director Andy Paterson.
Kaczynski has more than 12 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families, business owners and foundations. He will provide investment and asset-allocation advice and ongoing portfolio management.
The firm has also hired several associates in supporting roles as it increases capacity across the regions.
Thomas P. Melcher, Glenmede’s director of private wealth, said the additions are intended to strengthen the firm’s ability to provide clients with experienced relationship managers as it expands its regional teams.
“The investments we are making across our regions will enhance our ability to deliver thoughtful advice and customized solutions,” Melcher said.
Glenmede is also investing in technology and other capabilities alongside personnel, according to Adam Douberly, regional director of the firm’s Private Wealth group.
The hiring expands Glenmede’s regional advisory presence across investment management, fiduciary services, trust and estate planning, wealth planning and philanthropic advisory services.
