DPR Expands Philadelphia Presence as Regional Work Tops $1.8B

Business News

RADNOR, PA — DPR Construction has opened a new office in Radnor as the builder seeks to strengthen its position in the Philadelphia region, where the company says it currently has more than $1.8 billion in active projects across healthcare, life sciences, higher education, technology and commercial sectors.

The new office at 170 N. Radnor Chester Road extends the California-based contractor’s Mid-Atlantic footprint and places personnel closer to customers and project activity throughout the Delaware Valley.

The expansion reflects continued investment in a region that has become a significant market for institutional and technical construction, particularly as healthcare systems, research organizations, universities and advanced manufacturing companies continue to invest in facilities.

DPR said the Radnor office will support work in several of its core sectors, including healthcare, life sciences, advanced technology, higher education and commercial development.

“Philadelphia is a market defined by influential institutions, complex work, and long-term opportunity,” Amir Nekoumand, DPR’s New Jersey business unit leader, said in a statement.

The company said the location will also support recruitment efforts and relationships with local trade partners, subcontractors and community organizations.

DPR operates as a self-performing general contractor, a model in which portions of construction work are completed by company employees rather than outsourced entirely to subcontractors. The company said that approach provides greater control over scheduling, quality and safety on projects.

The Philadelphia-area expansion comes as competition for large institutional construction projects remains strong across the Mid-Atlantic, particularly in sectors tied to healthcare, biotechnology research and higher education.

DPR did not disclose the number of employees assigned to the Radnor office or any additional hiring plans associated with the expansion.

The company said the new location is intended to support long-term growth and project delivery throughout the Delaware Valley.
