DOYLESTOWN, PA — Drivers should prepare for months of daytime and overnight road closures in downtown Doylestown as PECO Energy begins utility construction affecting sections of State Street and Main Street.

Crews will close and detour one section of roadway at a time to minimize disruptions.
Closures on State Street will occur between:
- Clinton Street and Hamilton Street: Drivers will be directed to use Court Street and Hamilton Street.
- Hamilton Street and Main Street: Drivers will be directed to use Clinton Street, Ashland Street and Main Street.
- Main Street and Donaldson Street: Drivers will be directed to use Main Street and Donaldson Street.
Closures on Main Street will occur between State Street and Court Street. Drivers will be directed to use State Street and Court Street.
Local access will be maintained throughout construction. Drivers should plan extra time when traveling through downtown Doylestown because backups and delays are expected. Seek alternate routes whenever possible, especially during business hours.
The construction schedule is weather dependent and may change if conditions are unfavorable.
With work expected to continue through early December, motorists should anticipate changing traffic patterns as different sections of State Street and Main Street are closed throughout the project.
