Datavault AI Targets $1 Billion Qestrel Token Market

Datavault AI

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT) plans to tokenize access to a nationwide edge-computing network valued at more than $1 billion, giving enterprises a tradeable mechanism to reserve GPU capacity as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure strains available supply.

The Philadelphia-based company expects to begin offering Project Qestrel tokens, trading under the symbol $QEST, in the third quarter of 2026. Secondary-market trading is expected to follow, though the companies did not provide a specific timetable.

The tokens would carry access and usage rights across a network being developed by Available Infrastructure, which plans to deploy 1,000 edge data centers in 100 U.S. cities and more than 30 states.

Available Infrastructure projects nearly $5 billion in capital spending for the network at full buildout. The initial phase is scheduled to be operating by the end of 2026.

Datavault AI will provide the tokenization technology and clearing services through its Information Data Exchange platform. Revenue from the program will be split equally between Datavault AI and Available Infrastructure, according to the companies.

The arrangement represents an effort to convert computing capacity into a digital asset that enterprises can acquire, use and potentially resell. The tokens would provide access to dedicated graphics-processing capacity, quantum-resistant encryption and zero-trust networking across the Qestrel network.

Each planned site is designed to support as many as 48 graphics processing units and provide low-latency AI inference from telecommunications locations with existing fiber and power connections.

Available Infrastructure previously reported that its first sites were operating and that it aimed to have locations in 30 cities online by early July through a partnership with wireless infrastructure company Crown Castle. Some sites are expected to include IBM watsonx, while others will support competing AI models.

Datavault AI already uses Available Infrastructure’s SanQtum systems for data scoring, tokenization and monetization in the New York and Philadelphia corridors. The company stated that a broader national deployment is underway.

“The $QEST token provides a crucial way for enterprises to reserve and access capacity on the Qestrel network,” Available Infrastructure Chief Executive Officer Dan Gregory stated.

Gregory described secondary-market liquidity as an additional tool for companies investing in AI capacity. Whether a liquid market develops will depend on investor demand, network deployment and the structure of the planned trading platform.

Datavault AI stated that its platform will support customer identification, anti-money-laundering controls and institutional custody. The company did not disclose offering terms, token supply, pricing, minimum purchases or the regulatory structure governing the initial sale and subsequent trading.

The companies characterized the program as the first large-scale tokenization of a nationwide edge AI infrastructure deployment. That assertion could not be independently verified from the information provided.

Project Qestrel is the first of 10 planned token offerings involving Datavault AI, according to the company. Details of the remaining offerings were not disclosed.
