PHILADELPHIA, PA — CompassMSP has acquired Philadelphia-based The Logic Group, expanding its managed IT and cybersecurity operations in the Mid-Atlantic while adding expertise in regulated industries including healthcare, finance and manufacturing.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Logic Group has served small- and medium-sized businesses in the Philadelphia region for more than 20 years, providing managed IT, cybersecurity and integration support to clients across several industries.
CompassMSP positioned the transaction as a way to strengthen its regional footprint while adding compliance and security capabilities for businesses facing more complex technology requirements.
Milind Shah, chief technology officer of CompassMSP, cited The Logic Group’s experience in regulated industries and merger-related integration work as central to the acquisition.
“We are gaining a team that understands the nuances of regulated industries, the complexities of M&A integration support, and the importance of a familiar, trusted voice for business owners,” Shah said.
The Logic Group will gain access to CompassMSP’s broader technical, cybersecurity and compliance resources while continuing to serve clients through its existing local team.
Greg Beese, founder and chief executive officer of The Logic Group, said the deal would give the firm greater operating capacity without changing its client-facing approach.
“This move empowers our team and provides our clients with the resources of a national network, delivered by the local experts they already know and trust,” Beese said.
The acquisition continues CompassMSP’s expansion in the tri-state region and adds a Philadelphia-based operation to its managed services platform.
