CluePoints Earns Finalist Spot for Clinical Trial Data Software

CluePoints

WAYNE, PA — CluePoints has been named a finalist in the Data Analytics/Business Intelligence category of the 2026 Fierce Life Sciences Innovation Awards, recognizing the Wayne-based company’s expansion of its clinical trial software to integrate statistical analysis, artificial intelligence and medical data review.

The recognition comes as CluePoints broadens its Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) platform with three capabilities designed to identify potential clinical trial data problems, improve safety oversight and reduce reliance on disconnected review systems.

The additions include Intelligent Query Detection (IQD), Medical and Safety Review (MSR) and Intelligent Medical Coding (IMC). Together, they extend the platform’s existing statistical analysis and clinical trial site oversight functions.

CluePoints develops software used by pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations to monitor trial data quality, identify potential compliance problems and support risk-based oversight.

According to the company, its platform has been used across thousands of clinical studies and has identified more than 250,000 potential issues.

The expanded system is intended to connect data quality monitoring, medical and safety review, and medical coding within a common analytical framework, allowing clinical research teams to evaluate findings that might otherwise be examined separately.

The approach combines statistical models with artificial intelligence to help identify patterns and potential problems in clinical trial data. CluePoints emphasizes explainable and auditable outputs, which are important in an industry where research findings and oversight decisions must withstand regulatory scrutiny.

The company maintains that integrating these functions can help clinical trial teams identify discrepancies earlier and respond more efficiently while maintaining records of their review decisions.

“A lack of data has never been the problem in clinical trials,” CluePoints Chief Commercial Officer Martin Magazzolo stated. “The problem is that fragmented tools and disconnected systems meant they lacked the clarity and confidence to act on data insights in a timely way.”

Magazzolo said the company’s model is designed to help research teams act on data findings more quickly while maintaining documentation that supports regulatory and quality reviews.
