Clean Earth Launches Solar Panel Recycling at Texas Facility

Enviri Corporation

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Clean Earth, a division of Enviri Corporation (NYSE: NVRI), has launched solar panel recycling services at its Lancaster, Texas, facility after receiving authorization from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The permit allows the site to process solar panels alongside its existing electronic waste recycling operations.

The Lancaster facility can process up to 600,000 solar panels annually, or about 20 million pounds of material, including damaged panels, construction waste, and end-of-life equipment.

Clean Earth said the expansion is intended to address growing demand for end-of-life management of solar infrastructure and to provide a single-source solution for customers managing renewable energy waste.

Jeff Beswick, president of Clean Earth, said the company is responding to increased demand for integrated recycling services.

“Texas is one of the fastest-growing markets for solar and electronics development in the country, and having the people, the permits, and the processes all under one roof means our customers can move faster, stay compliant, and do right by the environment at the same time,” Beswick said.

The facility applies material assessment and waste profiling to determine appropriate recycling or reuse pathways based on regulatory requirements and material composition.

The expansion aligns with recent Texas legislation requiring solar facilities to manage recycling and disposal of components at the end of their lifecycle.

Clean Earth operates 93 locations across the United States and provides environmental and regulated waste management services.
