Brownsville Road Closure Could Bring Months of Frustrating Delays

BENSALEM TWP, PA — Drivers should prepare for more than two months of weekday closures and a lengthy detour as Aqua Pennsylvania begins utility installation on Brownsville Road in Bensalem Township.

Brownsville Road will be closed during the daily work periods. Drivers will be directed to use Old Street Road, Route 132 (Street Road), Route 532 (Bustleton Pike), Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike) and Bristol Road.

Local access will be maintained, but through traffic should seek alternate routes when practical. Drivers should plan extra time near the closure and along the detour because backups and delays may occur.
