PHILADELPHIA, PA — Braskem (BM&FBOVESPA: BRKM3, BRKM5, BRKM6; NYSE: BAK; LATIBEX: XBRK) received six Texas Chemistry Council awards for 2025 performance at three Gulf Coast facilities, highlighting safety and process-safety results across sites that are central to the company’s U.S. chemical operations.
The awards covered Braskem facilities in Seadrift, Oyster Creek and La Porte, Texas, the company said.
The Seadrift site received the Zero Incident Award and the Dr. Sam Mannan Award for Zero Process Safety Incidents, recognizing zero recordable safety and process incidents.
The Oyster Creek facility received three awards: the Caring for Texas Award, the Zero Incident Award and the Dr. Sam Mannan Award. The honors recognize safety performance, community engagement, emergency preparedness and sustainability.
Braskem’s La Porte site received the Dr. Sam Mannan Award for Zero Process Safety Incidents.
“These awards reflect the dedication and the example our teams set for Braskem,” Loris Canahuati, Braskem’s U.S. Gulf Coast industrial director and chairman of the Texas Chemistry Council board, said in a statement.
The Texas Chemistry Council and Texas Chemistry Alliance present the awards annually to member companies and individuals for safety performance and other achievements in the chemical industry.
Hector Rivero, president and chief executive of the Texas Chemistry Council, said Braskem’s recognition reflects “safe operations, process safety excellence, and continuous improvement.”
The awards were presented June 4 during the TCC-TCA Industry Awards Banquet at the Galveston Island Convention Center in Galveston, Texas.
