NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Boiron opened a 78,898-square-foot logistics center in Newtown Square on Sept. 16, consolidating two nearby warehouses into a single operation designed to expand storage capacity and streamline the homeopathic medicine company’s U.S. distribution.
The temperature-controlled facility is about a mile from Boiron’s U.S. headquarters and employs 28 people, including eight new hires. The company said centralizing the operations will improve inventory management, product distribution, and workplace safety.
The expansion adds logistics capacity in the township where Boiron has maintained its U.S. operations for more than 30 years.
“This center is new, but our purpose is not,” Boiron USA Chief Executive Officer Janick Boudazin said. “We are, and will always be, a company devoted to homeopathy and natural approaches to health.”
The facility includes energy-efficient mechanical systems, 24-hour surveillance, natural lighting and four electric-vehicle charging stations for employees.
Boiron marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting attended by more than 200 employees, business partners, local elected officials and other guests. Attendees were offered guided tours of the facility.
Newtown Township Board of Supervisors Chairman Leonard B. Altieri III characterized the project as a long-term investment by a company with established ties to the municipality.
“This is about more than a ribbon cutting,” Altieri said. “It’s about recognizing a company that has invested in our community, believed in our future, and chosen to grow right here in Newtown Township.”
The new center represents an operational expansion for Boiron in the U.S., with the company concentrating previously separate warehouse functions near its existing Newtown Square headquarters.
